ADMISSIONS PROCESS P
Registration Priority Protocol:
1. All currently enrolled students (Preschool-7) will have priority in registration.
2. New students belonging to families that are registered supporting members of Saint Joseph Parish. Length of registration in the Parish will determine the priority.
3. Siblings of school families that are not registered supporting members of Saint Joseph Parish.
4. New students belonging to families that are not registered supporting members of Saint Joseph Parish.
Students are officially admitted after the return of all required paperwork, completion of placement tests (new students only) and payment of accrued fees.
All newly-admitted students entering Saint Joseph Parish School are probationary for the first year. The School reserves the right to remove any student if behavioral and/or academic criteria are not met at any point during the first year.
Saint Joseph Parish School administration reserves the right to deny enrollment to any child due to a parent’s non-compliance of rules and/or misrepresentation of child or family information.
Saint Joseph Parish School recruits and admits students of any gender, race, color, or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities. In addition, the school will not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, color, or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, scholarships, loans, fee waivers, educational programs, athletics, and extracurricular activities. In addition, the school is not intended to be an alternative to court or administrative agency ordered, or public school district initiated, desegregation. Saint Joseph Parish School will not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, color, or ethnic origin in the hiring of its certified or non-certified personnel.
All obligations to previously attended schools must be satisfied before registration at Saint Joseph Parish School is considered complete.
The order of filling vacancies will be from the date of registration in the parish for parishioners and from the date of registration in the school for non-parishioners.
