Principal's Letter

Dear Families,

Enrolling your child in school is an important milestone!  Assisting parents as the primary educators of their children, Saint Joseph Parish School provides academic excellence in a Catholic atmosphere  We enroll students from ages 2½ through eighth grade. The preschool, kindergarten, and grades 1-5 are located on the west campus.  Grades 6 - 8 are located in the middle school on the east campus.

As a Catholic school, faith formation is an integrated part of our mission.  Students attend liturgy, weekly and study and reflect on their faith, daily. They are given opportunities to practice their faith through various programs, such as Positive Direction, Be Kind First, and service projects that benefit local charities. We actively embrace a clearly articulated, rigorous curriculum aligned to state standards, but infused with Gospel values and our Catholic Identity.

Our faculty includes specialists and support staff that enrich our academic offerings with art, music, physical education, and Spanish. Teacher assistants in kindergarten and first-grade support classroom instruction, while resource teachers for grades 2-5 facilitate smaller math and reading classes for our students.  Accelerated math classes are available in grades 6-8, allowing qualifying students to complete algebra before moving on to high school.

Saint Joseph Parish School’s success would not be possible without the participation of, and the partnership with, our school parents. Parents are given many opportunities to be involved in their child’s education throughout the school year. In addition, all parents are invited to be a part of our active Parent-Teacher Organization.
