St. Joseph Preschool is a parochial school, an educational ministry of St. Joseph Parish with an established reputation for educational excellence.  Its Catholic identity is the core of its mission and underlies the spiritual, academic, physical, and emotional growth of the students enrolled. The strong commitment creates a climate that supports the needs of growing children.  St. Joseph Preschool is where a young child's journey in quality education can begin.

Preschool children are unique individuals who learn best through PLAY and hands-on experiences at their own developmental level. This offers success, eases tensions, fosters decision-making, aids creativity and cooperation, and develops competency. Our classrooms support the interest of the children while fostering a love of God and for each other.

The St. Joseph Preschool Program conforms to the Diocese of Toledo Preschool Course of Study and the Early Learning Content Standards of the Ohio Department of Education. Our school year is closely aligned with the calendar of St. Joseph School.

Our innovative preschool is designed for children ages 3, 4, and 5. Our preschool curriculum includes hands-on activity centers, circle and story times, religious education and prayer, music, movement, science areas, snack and outdoor play time. Parents may choose to enroll for morning or afternoon preschool for 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week. We also offer an Extended Day Enrichment Program 11:15-3:30 for 3, 4, and 5, year-old children.

Instructional Hours:
Morning Preschool Hours -    8:30 - 11:15 (for 3, 4, and 5 year-olds)
Afternoon Preschool Hours - 12:30-3:15 (for 4-5 year olds)

Professional dedicated preschool teachers and assistants provide a stimulating, nurturing learning environment for your child. Constructive parental involvement benefits the program and, most importantly, the children. Parents are always welcome to visit our classrooms as we have an open door policy. Preschool News: Important Dates

        Registration for the 2013-2014 preschool year is underway. Registration forms are available in the elementary school office, west campus. We follow a strict set of guidelines for the registration process so that we might give everyone in the community a chance to attend our program. These guidelines are listed by date below:

• January 3-11, 2013:  Current St. Joseph Preschool families may register.
• January 12-19, 2013:  Current St. Joseph Elementary school families may register.
• January 20-26, 2013:  Current St. Joseph Parish members may register.
• January 27, 2013:  Preschool Open House 11:00-2:00. Registration is open to the public.

        Please join us Sunday, January 27, for the St. Joseph Preschool Open House. We will be welcoming families from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The preschool is located on the west campus, right across the parking lot from the church.

        St. Joseph Preschool is designed for 3, 4, and 5 year-old children. We offer both morning and afternoon sessions, along with an extended day program. Our classes have an excellent teacher/child ratio with an individualized curriculum, and we urge you to come and see all that we offer.
