Parish Programs

There are many needs that exist within the very boundaries of our own parish that provide students of all ages the opportunity to give back and to experience the joy of making a positive difference in the lives of others. The joy of living as Jesus did. Listed below are some ways students may get involved with serving Parish needs. For additional ideas or more information, please contact Laurie Neary, Parish Nurse, at 419-885-5791.

Share-A-Meal – Ellen Breininger, Coordinator
There many opportunities to help parishioners in need of meals. Can your student cook? Does your student want to learn to cook with you? This is a great reason to get in the kitchen together as a family! For the details of parish needs, contact Ellen Breininger 419-882-4222.

Homebound Outreach - Laurie Neary, Coordinator
There are many elderly members of the parish who reside at facilities such as Oak Leaf Village, Kingston Assisted Living or in other homebound situations. If you are interested in developing ongoing communication, want to plan a special event, make regular visits or even an occasional visit, please contact Laurie Neary at 419-885-9751 for names and parishioner contact information.

The Milestone Birthday Card Initiative
Many homebound/elderly members of our parish are celebrating milestone birthdays this year.  A homemade card would mean so much!  To participate in this parish program, contact Laurie Neary.

Feed My Sheep Garden - Debbie Gaster, Coordinator
This parent-child seasonal opportunity is a great way to get involved with the parish and to serve community needs! All of the bounty from this garden will go to Sylvania Area Family Services and Assumption Outreach Center clients. This is also a great opportunity for Scout groups!
