“As Catholic School Educators, we believe the purpose of education is not only for personal gain and the development of society, but for the Transformation of the world.”

Catholic Diocese of Toledo

St. Joseph School is a community of faith that includes students, staff, and families.  As a ministry of St. Joseph Parish, it is dedicated to providing academic excellence to students in a preschool through eighth grade environment. With the support of the parish community, St. Joseph School assists parents in their role as primary educators of their children by calling forth the unique potential of the whole child – body, mind, and spirit.  By emphasizing Catholic teachings, we promote the development of a responsible Catholic way of life and strive to prepare each student to meet the challenges of the world. The sense of community and family integrates the school culture.

Our school is home to 700 students in kindergarten through eighth grade and to 80 three, four, and five year old preschool children. Nearly 500 families experience the faith formation and academic excellence of our school community.

The school is staffed by twenty-nine classroom teachers, eight curriculum specialists, twelve support specialists, and eighteen teacher assistants.

Since 1986, Mrs. Sally Koppinger has been principal of St. Joseph School.  Mrs. Koppinger was named a National Distinguished Principal by the National Education Association and the National Catholic Education Association in 2005.
